May 26th, 2011I’ve visited a few, I’m generally more interested in healing, and psychic/channeling, etc. but picked up Cunningham’s book and found a surprising flood of energy (esp. addressing elements/directions, standing in the kitchen using a paring knife as a stand in). Started looking into local groups…haven’t found anything like I’d imagined a practicing group to be, mostly interested in "playing witch", or recreating "ancient" ceremonies, trying to be practitioners of past times and different locals…(I’m critical, but practical). Have you ever belonged to a working group that really wanted to develop energy and community? And avoided the silliness that can come with some of the shallower writings? Am I being unrealistic?
I don't understand how gemstones work in wicca, I've read that they store energy?

February 15th, 2011SORRY THIS IS VERY LONG – BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE I SET IT ALL OUT IN CONTEXT SO I CAN GET A SENSIBLE REPLY
In 2007 I contacted one of our local priests about attending the local RC church – which I then did for a couple of week before I went on a retreat to a Poor Clare Monastery.
Unfortunately I suffer from bipolar disorder with dysphoric mania and was in touch with the priest by email a lot while away – he seemed increasingly peed off but said we’d talk on my return about the ‘Journey Into Faith’ etc.
I had questions about the usual stuff – homosexuality, abortion, contraception. I gave him a link to my website where I teach different kinds of Reiki course (Reiki isn’t a religion to those who don’t know – it’s energy healing – look at it as like acupuncture or reflexology). On the website (which hadn’t been updated properly – it’s 250 pages large!), there was a part on the ‘about me’ page that said I was a practicing witch. This was true once but hadn’t been for almost 2 years so of course I updated it.
I also raised questions about the ‘other gods’ so often mentioned in the psalms and did it imply GOD had created other ‘good beings’ we can see – kind of like the equivalent of low-grade demons (which they do believe in).
I think he was put out. But he’s now moved to a new parish.
The other priest that served our church (we have 3 churches and 2 priests in my parish) is really off with me – I thought I was being paranoid but today I asked him about going on the course and he said ‘you’re not ready – maybe after a year of attending church’ – I said ‘oh that’s ok – a year’s a long time but that’s ok’ kind of thing – and he said ‘but you’ve got to work through your other issues. When I asked what issues he rushed off to get ready for mass with no reply.
I phoned him and said I thought he had a problem with me. He agreed he has but wouldn’t tell me what it is. I’d emailed 3 times since June with a view to returning to church once my illness was under control and I did so a couple of weeks ago.
My emails were ignored though – I thought maybe they didn’t get through but on the phone he admitted that he deliberately hadn’t replied! He said I could email again and he’d read it but wouldn’t necessarily reply.
I haven’t practiced witchcraft for over 2 years now – and I assume that’s what his issue is?? But I’ve no way of knowing. Also I was a member of The Universal Light church which I left very recently as I am serious about becoming RC.
He obviously doesn’t want me to attend church but he can’t stop me. He’s very rude to me though.
Of course, I go to church to be with God and experience the community of the church – not to see a nasty priest whose behavious seems decidedly unchristian – verging on bullying.
I don’t know the next step to take…that’s what I’m asking? Should I report this to someone or is it quite acceptable for the priest to decide who’s in and whose out?
I’ve never experienced such prejudice…since I was 12 and wore white socks anyway!
If anyone has any clue how to handle this, I’d really appreciate the advice! X

PS…since about Sept last year, all I’ve done is read about Christianity – the New Testament, books on Mary, small books from the Catholic Truth Society about all kinds of things including a small catechism – and tons by Lee Strobel and Scott Hahn…I don’t have the questions I had…so I haven’t bugged him with questions!

A powerful spell put on me 14 years ago is still powerful: against success and financial wealth?
December 13th, 2010Yes. I pray and yes, I used to NOT believe in spells and other negative energy. Now, I do. Since I lived in a haunted apt in 2005, I know for a fact, spirits and ghosts exist from firsthand experience. So, of course, spells and other related unseen energy does exist.
I NEED HELP WITH AN OLD SPELL PUT ON ME YEARS AGO TO DISPELL ANY CAREER SUCCESS OR FINANCIAL WEALTH COMING TO ME FROM ALL MY HARD AND HONEST WORK.
This spell was done by two relatives-primarily ONE female close relative whose jealousy and envy know no bounds. She always consulted witchcraft from very powerful witches and warlocks, among other who know how to mix all potions to wreck havoc on someone’s life.
I ignored for years and kept my clean and positive attitude but the SPELL is too strong for anything else. I need help and don’t have the sources to consult a healer or witch myself to reverse or destroy the spell. I don’t want to do any harm to her but I want her evil to be destroyed once for all

i dont know where i belong?
October 16th, 2010I never really cared what oe who am I…I’m just ME.
So now i wanna know, where would people class me in what religion. Don’t give me your opinions on the religion, just please tell me what religion i belong to. Ok…so…I practice magick, I brake the 3-fold rule if i have to, i worship Aphrodite (Greek goddess of love, lust, beauty and passion) and Ares (the greek god of war and chaos). I believe in all gods and goddesses, but worship and follow only these 2…I like to help people and don’t care if I have to stand in the background, not getting credit for it. I am an energy healer and i am obsessed with herbalism lol.
I love the forest and nature, i respect it as it should be.
So…what am i?
In magick, i do everything if needed i do what is needed…but mainly i make oils, grow plants, make staffs and wands, altars and candles, i’m a practical witch with a big interest in herbalism…
